Exhibitions 2011
Gallery 4017 - September 2011

Artrageous smalls are hangin' on a line for all the world to see..

This fundraising exhibition relied on public support and Team Artrageous says a huge THANK YOU to all attended Opening Night.

So far we have sold 70 paintings of the 117 on display.

All artworks were generously donated by local artists and 100% of sales go towards a refurbishment of the gallery.

We aim to raise $800. (nearly there!!!)

Artworks for the showcase were restricted to a 30cm square or cube.

Small art, small cost, huge reward for the community.

The exhibition runs for two weeks and closes on September 17th.

Entry by Gold Coin Donation and there is still artwork available for purchase.

A fabulous opportunity to grab a bargain and help support your local Arts & Crafts Centre.

A delicate and intricate view of nature brought to light by Joan Margaret Reed and a fine-tipped felt pen.

Suzanne Murcott, Sandra Walshe and Veronica Masters have gathered together an eclectic showcase of works which include traditional still life paintings, landscapes and abstract pieces. The artists have been inspired by a vast array of topics and themes. These include the planets, mythology, the natural world, people and places and personal experience.

The three artists have a preference for oil paints but work in other mediums as well.  Suzanne’s work is driven by the textural effects achieved by paint. By contrast, Sandra’s work is focussed on the dramatic quality of light. Veronica captures the vastness and intricacy of the natural world in earthy tones.

The three have previously shown their works as individual artists in local art exhibitions but this is the first time the three have exhibited as a collective.

“Three Oily Birds” opens on July 1st at 6.30pm and runs until 27th July. The invitation is warmly open to all. For enquiries relating to the show, please contact Artrageous Office on 32691535.

Exhibition Entry by Gold Coin Donation. Some displayed items will be available for purchase.
